Hi there! I wanted to thank you for running this blog. My Junji Ito obsession started at the ripe age of 12. My family and I decided to take a trip to Powell's bookstore in Portland since we had recently moved close to the area. At the time, I was pretty into anime/manga, and they had a pretty decently sized section. I had somehow stumbled across the first volume of Spiral Into Horror Uzumaki, and had begun to read out of a general interest in horror. Before we left the store, I was halfway through the third volume, and absolutely, indescribably terrified. If I remember correctly, I had to sleep with the lights on for at least two months after the experience. But beyond my terror, there was something even more gripping, and that was my utter fascination. I went back to Powell's as soon as I could muster up the courage and bought the first two volumes of Uzumaki (unfortunately the 3rd had been purchased, but I was luckily able to buy it later when they rereleased it with the new covers), and my collection grew from there. Never has an artist been able to captivate me as much as Junji Ito has. I'm 19 now, and my admiration for him is just as great, if not greater than it was when he first terrified me as a child. A small collection of his work sits on a special place on my bookshelf, and I count fan translations as proof of miracles, haha. :)
Sorry for the lengthy story. This actually does have a point, I swear. I was wondering if you had heard of a band called The Vincent Black Shadow? They released a song called Dig Dig Dig on their second album, and I'd bet anything that it is about The Enigma of Amigara Fault. It can't NOT be about it, in fact. I just thought it might interest you to give it a listen. Once again, thank you for this blog, and have a nice day. :)

Thanks for showing me that! It totally has to be about the amigara fault. That one is actually my favorite one by him as of yet, something about that story really stuck with me. But glad to meet a fellow fan! Thanks for following :)
